About

Assalamu Alaikum Warahamtullahi Wabraktuh

This website is run by brother Aboo Thaabit, Isma’eel bin Muhammad Noor, a student at the Islamic University of Madeenah (the city of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم) Saudi Arabia.

The aim of the website is to provide authentic Islamic knowledge from its main sources and to serve as an inspiration for Muslim youth everywhere. Its main focus is to translate Arabic material into the English language so that the non Arabic speakers might benefit and hopefully make them realise the vast amounts of knowledge that opens up when a person learns the language of the Qur’aan.

This website strictly follows the Qur’aan and Sunnah upon the understanding of the pious predecessors both in terms of Aqeedah as well as Manhaj. However we are all prone to mistakes and if anyone sees any mistakes whatsoever, please do not feel shy to point it out.

As for the services provided on this website, then the fatwa service will inshAllaah be answered by real scholars and not by Aboo Thaabit himself, since he is not a scholar by any means rather he is only a student of knowledge (if even that) and the SMS service is free of charge and will be run to the best of its ability.

Feel free to subscribe to this website through its RSS feed on the top left corner as well as following the da’wah on twitter etc.

May Allaah make this website a success and a means to please Him and only Him.

Question: What is the first obligation upon the slaves [of Allah]? Reading Surah Faatiha twice?

Question: What is the ruling for the person who repeats the recitation of Surah Faatiha? Meaning when he finishes it once, he recites it once again? Answer: It is not allowed to knowingly repeat Surah Faatiha, since this has not be reported from the Prophet.  And he said;

Whoever introduces anything new into our affair (i.e. Islaam) that which is not from it, then it will be rejected. [Bukhaaree]

However the Salaah is still correct, and such a person should be given sincere advice (to stop it) so that he does not repeat this practise. [Fataawa al-Lajnah ad-Daa-imah 276/8]
