Allaah descending last third of the night.

And some deceived “intellectuals” say, this subjects Allaah to always being descending to the heavens because the last third of the night is always present in different parts of the world.

We say: How ignorant you are of Allaah and His attributes! Do you think this matter that you mention was hidden from Allaah when He informed His Prophet? If these people answer Yes (we think that knowledge of this matter was indeed hidden from Allaah) then they become disbelievers and there is no need to debate with them whatsoever.

However if they answer of course (Allaah indeed knows everything!) Then we tell them, we believe in the textual evidence the way it reached us. And we do not subject Allaah to the rules of nature (since He is the creator of these rules) rather we believe in the hadiths that reach us and we do not make things difficult upon ourselves, forcing us to deny that which is established (by Allaah and His Messenger).

    Salam alaykum, please what are you insinuating? That the third part of the night is an innovation? Please clarify. Jazakumlahu khairan

Da'wah

Something you might notice is the fact that pious people never let an opportunity to call towards Allah pass by. One only has to read the Qur'aan to hear about how Yusuf alayhi salam called towards tawheed and Islaam whilst being in prison. And similarly as muslims we should make the most of every chance we get and call towards Allah, even if its on the bus or at univeristy etc. And this is Maalik bin Dinaar from the salaf who sees the opportunity to call towards Allah and he does not hesitate even one second.

It is said that a burgler entered the Imaams house but he didn't find anything to steal. So Maalik [saw the burgler] and called him towards him and said, you did not find anything with regards to the dunyah, how about something from the aakhirah? So the burgler replied yes [I am interested].

So the Imaam instructed him to make wudhu and pray two units of prayer so he did that. Then he sat down [for awhile] and then he went to the masjid. So the Imaam was asked [when people saw this man with him] Who is this person? He replied, he came to rob but we robbed him!

Reading Surah Faatiha twice?

Question: What is the ruling for the person who repeats the recitation of Surah Faatiha? Meaning when he finishes it once, he recites it once again? Answer: It is not allowed to knowingly repeat Surah Faatiha, since this has not be reported from the Prophet.  And he said;

Whoever introduces anything new into our affair (i.e. Islaam) that which is not from it, then it will be rejected. [Bukhaaree]

However the Salaah is still correct, and such a person should be given sincere advice (to stop it) so that he does not repeat this practise. [Fataawa al-Lajnah ad-Daa-imah 276/8]
