There is a hadeeth that is often circulated by people and it has to do with passing away on a Friday. The hadeeth in mention goes as following:
The Messenger of Allaah said:
There is no Muslim that passes away during the day or night of a Friday except that Allaah saves him from the fitnah of the grave.
Now there has been quite a lot of talk about this hadeeth, some scholars declare it saheeh others question the authenticity of it, so I decided to translate for you the conclusion of our noble Shaikh, al-Albaanee.
He said in his book Ahkaam al-Janaa-iz
This Hadeeth has been reported both by Imaam Ahmad and al-Fasawee in his al-Ma’rifah, narrated through two paths by ‘Abdillaah bin ‘Amr and it has backing up evidence from hadeeths narrated by Jaabir bin ‘Abdillaah and Anas bin Maalik including others.
So keeping in mind all these other variations of this hadeeth it concludes this hadeeth as either hasan or saheeh. (even though the hadeeth itself might be weak)
[Ahkaam al-Janaa-iz p. 49]
Shaikh al-Mubaarakfoori goes into depth regards this in his book Tuhfat al-Ahwadi which is an explanation of Sunan at-Tirmidhee. In it, he expands on the position of Shaikh al-Albaanee and brings a lot of evidence for this opinion.
And as for the meaning of the hadeeth:
”except that Allaah saves him from the fitnah of the grave”
The Shaikh says:
This could mean both being saved from the punishment of the grave as well as the questioning of the grave

Question: Some people memorize the entire Qur’aan or parts of it, but after a while they forget it, is such a person sinful for forgetting the Qur’aan?
Shaikh Bin Baaz: The correct opinion is that such a person is not sinful, however what is required from that person is to make an honest effort so that he/she wont forget it. The Prophet of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said
Refresh this Qur’aan (i.e. revise it) for by Allaah it leaves (the hearts of men) quicker than camels leave their shackles.
But what is even more important than the recitation of the Qur’aan is acting according to it and pondering upon its meanings.

Is a woman allowed to read Qur’aan during her period?
The scholars have differed on this issue.
The majority say that she should not read Qur’aan. And this is the math-hab of Imaam Ahmad, whereas other scholars say she should indeed read Qur’aan since there is no authentic evidence showing it isn’t allowed. Also the recitation of the Qur’aan is in itself recommended.
However one should follow a middle path (due to her state of impurity) and recite the Qur’aan if there is a real need, like for an example if she is afraid she might forget it or she might be teaching it to others or just studying it, reading du’aas from it etc. If she does not need to read it then she should settle for general dhikr instead of the Qur’aan in order to be free from the dispute.
And this is the opinion that is closest to the truth, i.e. that she reads it only if there is a real need for it and not otherwise.

Question:
The Prophet said;
When Ramadhaan arrives the doors of Paradise are flung open and the doors of Hellfire are slammed shut.
Does this mean that one who dies in Ramadhaan enters Paradise without questioning?
Answer:
The situation is not as such. Rather, what this means is the doors of Paradise are flung open as an inspiration to the Muslims to make easy their entry (to Paradise). And the doors of Hellfire are shut to prevent the Believers from sins such that they do not enter (through) these doors. And this does not mean that one who dies in Ramadhaan enters Paradise without questioning, rather those who shall enter Paradise without questioning are those whom the Messenger has described in his statement;
They are the ones who do not steal and do not cauterise and are not pessimistic and in their Lord they put their trust.

Shaykh ibn ’Uthaymeen was asked the following question.
Which one is more superior (in terms of reward) the person giving the Athaan or the Imaam leading the people in Salah?
The Shaykh answered:
Giving the athaan is superior to leading the prayer since the person giving the athaan is raising his voice proclaiming the greatness of Allaah whilst bearing witness to the prophethood of the Prophet.
Aswell as calling the people towards success and prayer five times a day.
And there is no tree nor stone that hears his voice except that it will give testimony for him on the day of judgement.

The Prophet mentioned in a saheeh hadith:
…Whoever says, I am better than (Prophet) Yunus ibn Matta has lied. [Ibn Maajah]
Our noble Shaykh of Madeenah ’Abdul Muhsin al-’Abbaad said explaining this:
What is known is that the Prophet is the best of creation and the scholars explain this hadith in different ways. Some say the word “I” does not mean the Prophet himself, but rather any other slave, (meaning if a muslim was to say I am better than Yunus) this is because a person might read the story of Yunus and think bad of him (which is not allowed).
Another explanation is that this was said by the Prophet before he truly knew his high-ranking, or that it is out of humbleness and to defend his fellow Prophet.
This is hoping for the removal of the blessing of the other, and it is [based upon] hatred and contempt towards other people's blessings. Jealousy is an evil disease, a killing poison, no one is saved from it except the one that is saved by the All-Mighty Most High.
Because of this, it is said:
No body is free from jealousy, but the lowly person shows his jealousy and the noble person witholds it [i.e does not show it] [Ibn Taymiyyah's Amraad al-quluub wa shifaa-uhaa p.134]
Then how common is jealousy amongst people! This person is envied for his wealth and this [person] for his knowledge and this [person] for his status amongst people.And it [jealousy] is most common amongst intellectuals, people who work with eachother and above all amongst the ranks of women. Jealousy is considered [by all] as from bad character and a very lowly path to pursue because it causes harm to the body as well as to one's religion. Also it is the main cause of splits and disagreements.Some of the Salaf said:
Jealousy was the first sin that Allah was disobeyed by in the heavens[Adab al-Dunya wa al-Deen p. 269]
Refering to Iblis envying Adam - may Allah send His peace and blessings upon him -And jealousy; in truth is displeasure with the decree of Allah and His wisedom, because of this it is said:
Whoever is pleased with the decree of Allah then no one can upset him, and whoever is content with what Allah gives, jealousy will never enter [his heart] [Adab al-Dunya wa al-Deen p.144]
Moreover, the first person who will be hurt by jealousy is the jealous person himself because it will effect him without a doubt. This is why some [Salaf] say:
I have never seen a Dhaalim [oppressor] resembling the madhluum [the one oppressed] more then the jealous person.[Adab al-Dunya wa al-Deen]

Question: What is the ruling for the person who repeats the recitation of Surah Faatiha? Meaning when he finishes it once, he recites it once again?
Answer: It is not allowed to knowingly repeat Surah Faatiha, since this has not be reported from the Prophet. And he said;
Whoever introduces anything new into our affair (i.e. Islaam) that which is not from it, then it will be rejected. [Bukhaaree]
However the Salaah is still correct, and such a person should be given sincere advice (to stop it) so that he does not repeat this practise.
